I hereby determine that :-
1. The date for the commencement of the first period of suspension of sittings of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the Courts of First Instance in the year 2018 will be on Monday the 09th April 2018.
The ordinary sittings of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will be resumed on Wednesday the 02nd May 2018.
The ordinary sittings of the High Courts will be resumed on Wednesday the 25th April 2018.
The ordinary sittings of the other Courts of First Instance will be resumed on Monday the 23rd April 2018.
2. The date for the commencement of the second period of suspension of sittings of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the Courts of First Instance in the year 2018 will be on Monday the 13th August 2018.
The ordinary sittings of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will be Resumed on Monday the 27th August 2018.
The ordinary sittings of the High Courts will be resumed on Thursday 23rd August 2018.
The ordinary sittings of the other Courts of First Instance will be resumed on Monday the 20th August 2018.
3. The date for the commencement of the third period of suspension of sittings of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the Court of First Instance in the year 2018 will be on Monday the 17th December 2018.
The ordinary sittings of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will be resumed on Monday the 07th January 2019.
The ordinary sittings of the High Courts will be resumed on Wednesday the 02nd January 2019.
The ordinary sittings of the other Courts of First Instance will be resumed on Tuesday the 01st January 2019.
In the event of Poya day falls on 07th January 2019 the ordinary sittings of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will be resumed on Tuesday the 08th January 2019.
